I graduated from Salamanca University in 1999 and started working for CSIC, but then fairly quickly decided to become a community pharmacist. After working in Spain for a couple of years, I moved to the UK.

In 2000 I started developing Farmaempleo.com and it became a reality in 2004.

I began working for Boots in 2002. At the moment I'm a consultant relief pharmacist for East Sussex for Boots. I think it's important to keep in touch with life as a working pharmacist in order to offer the most relevant and up-to-date support for pharmacists wanting to move to the UK.

In 2007 Boots offered an opportunity to recruit Spanish and Portuguese pharmacists, and Chris and I created Farmaempleo UK Ltd. Since then we have broadened our training and our contacts with pharmacies in the UK.

It's a privilege for me to be able to use what I have learnt over the years to train and support others. We want pharmacists to have the best possible experience in the UK and to really benefit from the exchange of good pharmacy practice between countries.

I'm an experienced English language teacher and teacher trainer. I offer training in writing and speaking skills: completing a European CV and an application form for pharmacy positions in the UK; interview preparation, to practise and learn the appropriate English to use when asking and answering questions; and advice on how to (or not to!) communicate with the British.

I have designed learning programmes for both the public and private sectors, including an online language improvement course for English teachers in Brazil.

I live in Brighton but take every opportunity to visit Spain. My Spanish is slowly improving!

I have been working as an interpreter and translator since 2000 when I obtained the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting which included the translation of documents from Spanish to English (specialising in the legal matters).

Previously I had worked in Spain for a number of years in Salamanca and Barcelona teaching English in the British Council and the Langage Business School in Barcelona where I like to go back from time to time.

For the last four years I have enjoyed working with Farmaempleo-uk.com and helping many Spanish candidates to register as a pharmacist in the U.K and Ireland. I will be happy to help you prepare the documents, explain what documents you need and check them as well as doing all the necessary translations (with a signed certification) so that you can be recognised as a U.K. pharmacist as soon as possible.
